Soldier and Suriname Citizen Work Together

PARAMARIBO, Suriname -- Spc. Neal Eisenbraun of Wisner, Nebraska, member of the 155 Engineer Company, South Dakota Army National Guard hands over a scraper to Reggield Misidjan a volunteer whose mom is a teacher at the M.G.J. Poolschool. Reggield helped the Soldiers fill holes in the cement with putty on Monday, July 21 in Paramaribo, Suriname. The renovation project is part of Beyond the Horizon 2008.  Beyond the Horizon exercise helps improve the quality of life for the people living in rural areas of this event while at the same time improving partner nation’s capability and providing opportunities for U.S. personnel to refine engineering, medical, mobilization and deployment skills.
